Speaking of pro developers, they'll tell you that currency, pricing, and calculations are tricky things to code. For starters, decimal places in calculations don’t work well in all browsers. What’s more, adding a currency symbol isn’t as straightforward as one might think. That’s why we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make the eCommerce dream come true. It’s taken time, but we are proud of the results. As a WordPress form builder plugin, we've been a leader for years. Pricing fields include 3 field types: Product, Quantity, and Total. All pricing values are displayed in the currency of choice (as set in the Global Settings).
The currency option also includes a hook to allow custom code to change the currency per form.
The product field
Product fields can be displayed as radio, checkbox, dropdown, free text, or a single set value. The radio, checkbox, and dropdown options allow you to add a list of products with their prices. These can then be selected while filling out the form.
The User Defined option is great for donation forms. With free text, your site visitors can enter the amount they choose.
When you select the Single Product option, the product name and price will show in the form in a read-only way. This is perfect for forms with only one product that should automatically be selected any time the form is submitted.
The quantity field
Quantity fields allow users to easily choose how many products they want.
The total field
Total fields automatically calculate all the products and quantities in the form. They can also be used in custom calculations.
