How to integrate Zapier with WordPress forms

Setting up a link between Zapier and your WordPress forms is surprisingly simple. There’s no need for technical experience or know-how. Everything can be set up by simply activating our Zapier WordPress plugin.
Below, we'll show you just how easy it is to integrate Zapier with WordPress forms.
1 – Install and activate Formidable Forms
Download Formidable Forms from your Account. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Upload Formidable Forms and activate it by grabbing your API from your Account page.
2 – Activate your Zapier integration
In WordPress, click on Formidable → Add-ons. Find the Zapier option and click Activate.
3 – Create a zap
Log in to your Zapier account and click Make a Zap.
4 – Set your trigger app
To use Zapier, you need to set a Trigger Apps and an Action App. This means that when something happens in the Trigger App, it will trigger an action in the Action App automatically. Select Formidable Forms as your Trigger App and choose a trigger like 'New Form Submission'.
5 – Set your action app
This is where the triggered information ends up. Zapier will transfer data from the Trigger App to the Action App.

In the case of a newsletter signup form, you can set it to create a new contact in your email marketing app as the action. This saves you from having to copy their contact details over yourself.
