frm_spam_entries_settings

Heads up! This article contains PHP code and is intended for developers. We offer this code as a courtesy, but don't provide support for code customizations or third-party development.

Use the frm_spam_entries_settings action to add your own settings or notes to the Spam entries section in Formidable → Global Settings → Captcha/Spam. Formidable Forms Pro uses it to show the Delete spam entries automatically setting.

The action runs only when Formidable Forms Pro is active with an active license.

Requirements

  • Formidable Forms 7.0 or later, with Formidable Forms Pro 7.0 or later active.
  • An active Basic, Plus, Business, or Elite license.

Formidable Forms makes advanced site building simple. Launch forms, directories, dashboards, and custom WordPress apps faster than ever before.

Usage

add_action( 'frm_spam_entries_settings', 'my_function_name' );

Parameters

  • $frm_settings (FrmSettings): Formidable's global settings.

Examples

Learn where to put the code when adding a custom PHP function to your site.

Add a note for your team

This example adds a short reminder below the spam entries settings.

add_action( 'frm_spam_entries_settings', 'my_frm_spam_review_note' );
function my_frm_spam_review_note( $frm_settings ) {
	echo '<p class="howto">Review the Spam tab weekly and mark real entries as not spam.</p>';
}

Add and save your own setting

This example adds a checkbox and saves it when the global settings are saved. Formidable checks the request and passes the posted values to the frm_update_settings action.

add_action( 'frm_spam_entries_settings', 'my_frm_spam_digest_setting' );
function my_frm_spam_digest_setting( $frm_settings ) {
	printf(
		'<p><label><input type="checkbox" name="my_frm_spam_digest" value="1" %s /> Send the team a weekly list of new spam entries</label></p>',
		checked( get_option( 'my_frm_spam_digest' ), '1', false )
	);
}

add_action( 'frm_update_settings', 'my_frm_save_spam_digest_setting' );
function my_frm_save_spam_digest_setting( $params ) {
	update_option( 'my_frm_spam_digest', empty( $params['my_frm_spam_digest'] ) ? '0' : '1' );
}

Read the saved value in your own code with get_option( 'my_frm_spam_digest' ).
