Forms API v2.0.2

Last updated on October 13, 2026 by Mike

  • New: Add-ons that ship their own MCP support (Formidable, Pro, Views, Landing Pages, Coupons) now take over automatically. The API add-on only fills in what a plugin is missing. When all are up to date, the MCP setting no longer shows in the API settings.
  • New: Pass a user_id when creating or updating an entry to set its owner. Only users who can manage entries can do this.
  • New: The form actions list supports page and page_size.
  • New: Deleting a style now moves the forms that used it to the default style. The response lists them in reassigned_form_ids.
  • Fix: Outbound webhook JSON now escapes a lone line break in a value. This fixes line breaks running together in services like Twilio.
  • Fix: Notice on WordPress older than 6.9 ("Call to undefined function wp_get_ability()") when registering the MCP server.
  • Fix: Updating an entry through the API copied the parent post ID onto repeater rows. This broke the entry's post and Views, and removing a row could delete the post.
  • Fix: Style, form style, and application endpoints accepted an ID from a different post type. Deleting a "style" could trash an unrelated page.
  • Fix: Saving a view layout failed on sites where the layouts table was made by an earlier version of the add-on. The table is now repaired.
  • Fix: The form actions type filter did nothing. An unknown action type was saved as another type. Both are fixed.
  • Fix: Views created through MCP now sanitize map, calendar, timeline, and table options the same way as updates.
  • Fix: Getting a trashed or invalid view now returns a "Invalid view ID" error.
  • Update: Deleting a view through the API now moves it to the trash instead of deleting it permanently.
  • Update: MCP activity log only lists Formidable abilities, not other plugins' abilities.
